About Teme Valley Artisans

Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Teme Valley, we are on a mission to celebrate the finest makers of handmade gifts and showcase the incredible talent of local artisans. Teme Valley Artisans was founded as a not-for-profit community organisation by Sarah Brooks, Mike Palfrey, and Tracey Scully, driven by a shared belief in the power of creativity, community, and craftsmanship.

Teme Valley Artisans is more than just a marketplace — it’s a thriving creative hub built by and for makers. Our vision is to bring together skilled artisans from across the region and provide them with a professional platform to share their work, tell their stories, and build lasting connections with customers and fellow creatives.

Every handcrafted item you’ll find through Teme Valley Artisans reflects the passion, dedication, and individuality of the person who made it. From ceramics and textiles to woodwork, jewellery, painting, and beyond, each piece carries the spirit of the valley and the heritage of traditional craftsmanship.

Our physical shop, based on Market Street in Tenbury Wells, will serve as a welcoming space for both locals and visitors to explore a wide range of unique, artisan-made products. Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift, something special for your home, or simply want to connect with your local creative community, the Teme Valley Artisans shop will be a place to discover, learn, and be inspired.

As we continue to grow, we actively welcome new artisans interested in joining this exciting journey. If you’re a maker based in or around the Teme Valley and share our values of quality, collaboration, and community spirit, we’d love to hear from you.

Stay connected, follow our updates, and be part of the movement that puts local creativity at the heart of the high street.

TVA CIC – Who are We?

Teme Valley Artisans CIC has been created by three local creatives: Sarah Brooks of Sez Les Ceramics; Michael Palfrey of The Bee Fairy and Tracy Scully of Smitten. The idea of the CIC came about after several conversations about finding a prime location in the heart of Tenbury to showcase and sell their own handcrafted products. Taking a shop which had been empty since the flooding of 2024 may be seen to be a risk by some, however we aim to provide a creative environment which will become the go to place to but beautifully made, handcrafted pieces. All artisans are carefully selected from across the Teme Valley and invited to join the team who manage the day to say operations of the shop. All are volunteers, who give their time to keep the shop open, clean and manage the stock. Teme Valley Artisans CIC is run as a not for profit organisation and the three Directors taking out only what they have put in to get the project off the ground and ongoing improvements. Each artisan pays a fee to display their products and sales are processed through the TVA CIC bank account and distributed to the artisans minus any bank transaction fees. We aim to use only eco-friendly packaging as sustainability is key in our mission as is supporting local businesses.
